Why should you use an experienced kitchen and bathroom designer?

A common problem with kitchen and bathroom renovation projects is that many people choose not to use the services of an experienced interior designer that specializes in kitchen design and bathroom design.

The reasons for using an interior designer that specializes in kitchen and bathroom design are best summarized by two different clients of ours who recently went through the design process. A few of the reasons they gave after having completed the design process were:

1. It ensured that the design of the kitchen met the functional needs of their family and coordinated with the style of their home.

2. It resulted in the selection and coordination of all materials and fixtures including, flooring, cabinetry, handles and pulls, metal schedule, countertops, backsplash materials, sinks, faucets, toilets, tubs, bathroom accessories (towel bars, toilet paper holders, robe hooks, etc.) paint colours, wallpapers, as well as any other selections that needed to be included. It also resulted in a selection that they would have never been able to put together themselves.

3. It saved them errors in design and materials selection; Their worst fear would have been to complete a renovation to realize that the choices they would have made by themselves were wrong but had spent the money.

4. It saved time and money in not having to go out and source materials themselves.

5. With a detailed design, the trades had a detailed plan during construction which resulted in time and money saved during construction.
